According to a recent study reported in Workforce Management, the successful implementation of onboarding employees during their 1st year of service increases engagement, raises retention by as much as 25%, improves performance and accelerates the time to full. Students report being “surprised” by employer expectations and employers report that students need to develop more realistic job expectations. What are the missing pieces to successful transition from college to career and how can the partnership between career services and recruiters help bridge the gap?
Using experiences from many corporations, nonprofits, and industries, our presenter—Sarah Gibson from Accent Learning and Consulting—will present and facilitate discussions that help you explore:
- Today’s College Graduate/Millennials’ career wish lists
- Career Services role in the launch to success
- Organizational onboarding and culture checks
